ELAYNE GAYLE LAINE (nee BROWN) April 1, 1951 - Morden, Manitoba February 28, 2016 - Calgary, Alberta Elayne was born April 1, 1951 in Morden Manitoba, and grew up in the 1-6 district south of Morden; and attended both the Diamond School and Morden Collegiate. She went to Winnipeg and completed a legal assistant course then moved to Calgary in 1971 where she worked for a law firm until her retirement. Elayne Laine was diagnosed with cancer in 2010 and after a long courageous battle passed away on February 28, 2016 at the age of 64 years. Elayne will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her loving partner Ron Steele; her brother and sister-in-law Percy and Jean Brown; her niece Sandra; nephew Garry; great-niece Isobol Brown; her Aunt Myrtle and Uncle Mervyn Evans of Winnipeg; her Aunt Marion Letkeman of Abbotsford B.C.; and numerous extended family and friends. Elayne was predeceased by her brother Garry Brown in 1966; her mother Doris Brown (nee Demke) in 1987; and her brother Stanley Brown in 2011. Funeral Services were held at Northside Baptist Church (3682, 48 Avenue NE, Calgary, AB) on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
