RICHARD JAMES AMERO Richard James Amero, aged 57 years, passed away unexpectedly on March 6, 2016 at his home in Winnipeg. He was born July 1, 1958 in Digby, Nova Scotia and grew up in a loving home with his parents, Theresa (Betty) Amero and Arnold Amero in Plympton, NS. Rick came out west to Winnipeg in 1978 where he lived for the remainder of his life. He married Jean Favel in 1981 and had four great boys that he was always very proud of. In 1994 he met the love of his life, Barbara and they were married in 1995, enjoying 20 years of happiness and love together. He worked as a loyal City of Winnipeg employee for 22 years. Rick will be remembered always for his gentle manner and kind heart, his wonderful musical abilities and carpentry skills, his love of fishing and the outdoors but most of all for his incredible devotion to his family. Rick is lovingly remembered by his wife Barb; mother Betty; sister Brenda; sons, James (Carrie), Donald (Pam), Richard and Derek; and his nine grandchildren. A celebration of Rick's life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Good News Fellowship Church, 891 St. Mary's Road.
