ROBERT JOSEPH MALETTE
Date of Passing: Mar 15, 2016
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT (BOB) JOSEPH MALETTE Our beloved Bob passed away quietly after a lengthy battle with Parkinson's Disease, on Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at the age of 74. He will be deeply missed by his wife Karen; daughters, Patti Fernie (Jairus Moss) and Lisa Cook (Chris); and adored granddaughter Emma Fernie. Bob spent his entire career in the Winnipeg printing industry, and was a dedicated family man. He always found time to help others. Whether it was coaching numerous sports teams or lending a hand in the Woodhaven community, where he lived with his family for over 45 years, he was admired and well respected. One of Bob's great pleasures was spending time at the Brereton Lake family cottage, where he indulged in fixing anything needed, and never failed to answer the call to drive the boat, as he taught a generation of friends and family how to water ski. Known for his quiet demeanour, quick wit and thoughtful guidance, Bob will be missed by all who knew him. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Parkview Place and the Grace Hospital, whose compassion and care will never be forgotten. As per Bob's wishes, there will be no formal service. If desired, a donation can be made to Parkinson Canada.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Bob was an amazing man. I worked with him for 18+ years at ICP and Herff Jones and never was there a better listener. He was a rock to so many of the employees at Herff. Although we have not kept touch, we have all lost a wonderful person and friend. Our thoughts are with you all. - Posted by: Pamela Robertson (Co-worker at Herff) on: Mar 22, 2016
