CONSTANCE (CONNIE) ZELMA MOORE 1933 - 2016 Constance "Connie" Zelma Moore passed over peacefully on March 17, 2016, in Winnipeg, with her three children by her side. She was 82 years old. Constance is survived by her loving partner Morely (Sutter); son John; daughters, Catherine and Andrea; granddaughters, Juliana and Alina; great-grandson Leon; her sister Joan (Chudd) and several dear nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Captain John Moore, in 1963. Constance was born in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba in 1933, to the late George and Eva Ioanidis. She was the eldest of three children and was predeceased by her brother Jim Ioanidis. She graduated with a degree in Dietetics and was passionate about the game of tennis - both playing and watching. A deeply spiritual woman and loving mother, Constance believed in the healing powers of nature, bright colours and human hands. She cherished the company of friends and family and took great pleasure in political debates, the arts and the beautiful garden she nurtured. She lived life to the fullest and encouraged everyone to do so with her. The family would like to thank her dear friends, Judith Deatrich and Jim Bailey for the continued care and support they brought to her life, especially in these last months. A memorial will be announced at a later date. NEIL BARDAL FUNERAL CENTRE 204-949-2200 neilbardalinc.com

Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • I was lucky to know this woman at first through her kind daughters, and then later by a chance meeting shortly before she passed away. My deepest condolences. - Posted by: Jim Stewart (Family friend) on: Jan 17, 2018

  • My deepest condolences to all the family. I have very fond memories of all of you including Buttons. Connie and my mom (Stasia) were very close neighbours and they shared daily coffee breaks together. She was a lot of fun and had a vibrant personality in spite of the hardships of raising three children on her own. Connie will live on in your hearts and your memories. May she forever rest in peace. - Posted by: Sandra Vecchione (Next door neighbour and one of Stasia's daughters.) on: Mar 20, 2016

  • My condolences to all of you. I so admired Connie, and enjoyed our few times together. She will be missed. - Posted by: Arlene Tuttle (Friend through Morley Sutter) on: Mar 19, 2016

  • Connie and i knew each other from our early days at the University of Manitoba. Later Connie accompanied car club friend Jim Bailey, a friend of ours, to club functions in Winnipeg, often accompanied by Morley. We will miss her at these functions in the future Connie attended the 60th anniversary of our graduation from the University of Manitoba, held at the Fort Garry Hotel last September with some 29 of our class. - Posted by: Ann Rostecki (Friend from the Faculty of Home Economics) on: Mar 19, 2016
