Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • I had the pleasure of meeting Connie, while I worked at Mondo Foods. We always had a great chat when she came in to get her Christmas supply of Pannetone and other treats she always bought for her friends. She was a lovely person and will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. - Posted by: Elayna Zadko (Friend) on: Mar 22, 2016

  • Connie, a dear sister-in-law who is remembered for her deep love of life. Her love of cooking showed in the most fabulous and creative meals she served. My mouth waters thinking about the spices and seasonings she added to her meals. Her love of the earth showed in her tenderly cared for garden. A picture of her prolific poppies shines brightly in Jim’s office. Her love of fashion and creativity showed in her everyday life. Every time she visited Montreal she would love to paint my daughter’s finger nails and toe nails – “You look so pretty”, she would say. One time when Connie was visiting us in Montreal I remember her sitting in our front doorway with nephews, George, Don and Rob, and niece, Natalie, during a thunderstorm and enjoying the pure but terrifying beauty of the lighting and thunder. And laughing when a tremendous thunder boom jolted them and they all screamed, jumped and hugged each other. She gave us many moments to remember. My thoughts are with you. - Posted by: Joanne Ioanidis (Sister-in-Law) on: Mar 22, 2016

  • Connie and I have kept in touch over the years, after our children grew up and left the neighborhood. I will remember her for her warm and outgoing nature, her great sense of humor, her strength and cheerfulness, her ability to cope with anything life threw her way. My deepest sympathy to you all. Connie was a very warm, high-spirited person, a joy to be with. We had been in contact over many years as all our children grew up and left the neighborhood. We had some good talks together as we shared life experiences. My deepest sympathies to you all. Pat Cohen - Posted by: pat cohen (friend and neighbor) on: Mar 21, 2016
