Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryOLIVE MARSH/MCDERMOTT On March 15, 2016 Olive Marsh/McDermott (Warren) received her angel wings so she could begin her new journey to Heaven. Olive passed away peacefully at the age of 91 in Fort Myers, Florida surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada and lived there until her retirement. She is survived by her five children: sons Warren (Sharron), Raymond (Barb) and Chris (Donna), daughters Gloria (Len) and Susan (Dennis), nine grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, and by her beloved sister and friend Ramona Leclair. Also surviving her are nieces and nephews as well as Edward's children and grandchildren. She will be remembered by many friends in Winnipeg and Florida. Olive was predeceased by her loving husband Alfred, of 49 years; second husband Edward, of seven years, two sisters and two brothers. Mom was a beautiful lady both inside and out and touched the hearts of many. She enjoyed our family get-togethers always looking forward to playing cards or scrabble. In her later years she enjoyed her trips to the local casino. Mom kept busy by crocheting, making chocolate fudge brownies, matrimonial cake and cooking food the family loved. In her 80s she learned how to operate the computer so she could keep in touch with her family and friends. Her kind and gentle nature made everyone feel at home. Her legacy of love and devotion to family will continue forever. We will miss you Mom. There will be no formal service. A private Celebration of Life will be held by the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to be made to Hope Hospice at 1201 Wings Way, Lehigh Acres, FL 33936 or to the charity of your choice.

I am so sorry to hear of your Mom passing. She was a beautiful woman, always. I literally was just thinking of her yesterday, actually, I was remembering her "evil eye" with that amazing twinkle in her eyes. Sincerely, with deepest sympathy, Charlotte - Posted by: Charlotte Nessler (Friend) on: Jul 12, 2016

As friends of Warren & Sharron we were included in some family birthday get-togethers over the years. We will always remember Mrs.Marsh as a kind, gracious and beautiful women. We didn't see her often but when we did, she always left a memorable impression of what a real lady is like, she had that in spades. So sorry for your families loss.
