CATHERINE (KAY) TENNANT (nee PLUMB) Peacefully at home, it is with sadness we announce the passing of our mother on Tuesday, March 22, 2016, at the age of 91. She leaves behind her beloved husband and best friend, Russ. They were lucky to have enjoyed 70 years of marriage. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished by her children, Barrie (Jan), Dawn (Brian), and grandchildren, Jenna (Chris), Christian, and Brendan. Kay loved spending time with her family, especially at the cottage. She loved her flowers, and appreciated all the nature that surrounded her. When not yelling at the Bombers, she spent time crocheting, baking, bowling, lunching with the ladies, and was always up for a good game of cards. A celebration of life will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, April 1, 2016, at the Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Avenue (across from Brookside Cemetery). The family would like to give a special thank you to the homecare staff, Dr. Rabson, the volunteers at Rupert's Land Caregiver Services, and the emergency personnel for their compassionate care.
