Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRICHARD STANLEY PEDLAR Richard Stanley (Stan) Pedlar, II, 89, died peacefully in Kanata, Ontario, on March 16, 2016. Born April 3, 1926, son of Richard Stanley and Mildred Pedlar, brother of Florence Evans, devoted husband of Barbara Ann (nee Flynn). Dad loved chess, pool, his dogs, a laugh, a good story, a dry martini and his hometown Winnipeg. Survived by son and daughter, Stan and Carol; grandchildren, Jordan and Sarah; and niece Cathy, of England. Many thanks to the staff of Forest Hill in Kanata for their care and compassion. About 55 years, as a young teenager, I had the privilege of being given a chess lesson by Stan, who was very gracious in victory.
