  • Feb 15, / 2021 To my dear aunt who I miss very much - I Walk Alone - It's a lonely road that I walk alone, with just my snow tracks behind me. We all have a journey that we will take one day, each soul a different road. I left my loved ones far behind, to take my special journey. For I know the Elders are waiting for me. When I reach my destination they will be waiting for me. A celebration we shall have my family that went before me, shall be sitting near the fire with smiles as I come near. I can hear them call to me,... "Welcome home daughter" "Welcome home niece" "Welcome home my grandchild" " Now come take your place with us" - Posted by: Doreen Ducharme (Aunt) on: Feb 15, 2021

  • Aunt Minnie was a wonderful lady she loved her Tukundum family very much, especially her baby brother Simon. She was one to never stay home, always on the go and she enjoyed travelling. My aunt left the Swan Lake First Nation Reserve at a early age to work in the city of Winnipeg. She would enjoy going to the occasional Pow -Wow in the US, or here in Canada. Aunty would call me to talk about her day or plans to travel, or just go to the food store. But she always had a lot to talk about. She would always call her sister Elsie and talk for hours, something she enjoyed. Especially since it was her and her sister left of the original Tukundum family. When me and my husband would visit her, she would make a lunch for us, with a fresh pot of tea. Then we would talk about things in the past that happened on the Swan Lake reserve, it was fun and interesting information. But she will be sadly missed, especially by her sister Elsie Cameron the most. Elsie wishes that she could have attended the viewing before the cremation. Minnie will always have a special place in her sister Elsie's heart forever. Niece - Mrs. Doreen Ducharme Sister - Mrs. Elsie Cameron - Posted by: Mrs. Doreen Ducharme (Niece) on: May 03, 2016
