Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBEVERLEY (BEV) DWARIKA (CROPP) With great sadness and sorrow we announce the passing of Beverley Dwarika on April 2, 2016 at the Health Sciences Centre. Bev is survived by her partner Bill Lanctot; her children, Kathy (Rick) Kaye, Bill (Diane) Cropp; her husband Lionel Dwarika; her grandchildren, Adam (Angela), Kim (Vance); great- grandchildren, Coral and Tanika; extended family, and many cherished friends. She was predeceased by her mother Florence Benoit; father Reginald Spicer; and brother Ken Spicer. Bev was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She has lived in a few other places, but returned to Winnipeg for the majority of her life. Bev was always a creative and artistic person. She owned Weicker's Craft Shop for many years. She was a very talented artist and belonged to various art groups, most recently the Norman Art Group. She was always thinking of ways to use her creative abilities to make a difference in people's lives. She started the "Mai Tai" Hawaiian dance group to entertain in seniors' facilities, volunteered with Folklarama and embarked on many other ventures. She also spent time working with youth, children, and animals. She had a great love for animals and nature, and enjoyed many country drives in her latter years. Mom always had a kind word and a smile. A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Avenue (across from Brookside Cemetery).
