JANINA KRUSEL On Tuesday, April 12, 2016, Janina Krusel passed away peacefully at Grace Hospital in Winnipeg, at the age of 82 years. She was born on August 5, 1933 in Wiry, Poland to the late Ignacy and Stefania Wechterowicz. She was predeceased by two brothers, Janusz and Piotr, and husband Edwin Krusel. Remaining to cherish Janina's memory are her brother, Ryszard Wechterowicz (Teresa); her daughter, Bozena Walczak (Krzysztof); two grandchildren, Marceli Walczak (Angela) and Dorota Walkoski (Kyle); as well as four great-grandchildren, Elaina, Hunter, Andreas and Kinley. Janina devoted her life to caring for her family and moved to Winnipeg in 1995 to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren. She had a passion for cooking, gardening, travelling and playing games. Her love and infectious smile will be deeply missed by her friends, family and all who knew her. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 18, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Avenue with an Oblate Father presiding. A luncheon reception will be held in the Parish Hall immediately following the service. The family would like to thank the doctors and nursing staff at Grace Hospital for their wonderful care and compassion. Donations can be made in her name to the Grace Hospital Foundation.
