CHARLES GEOFFREY MARRIN Geoffrey Marrin has passed. He died a rich man. One of the richest I have ever known, a wealth of friendship we should all be so fortunate to amass. These words from Geoff's friend sum up his life. Born in Winnipeg in 1949, son of Jay and Rosemary Marrin, brother of Lindsay, Robert, Richard and David. Early on, Geoff was at the centre of the local music scene as a member of The Mongrels, Sugar and Spice, and Finders Keepers, among others. He moved to BC and enjoyed a unique lifestyle that earned him a happy life and an army of friends. He lost his battle with cancer, but he won the joy of life. A celebration of his life was held in March in Vancouver. A second celebration was held in Gibsons with Geoff's friends from the Sunshine Coast. Geoff will be laid to rest with Maureen, whom he loved.
