Remaining to cherish Hazel's memory are her husband of 62 years, Robert (Gill) Leishman; daughters, Kim of Ottawa and Cindy of Winnipeg, as well as Hazel's youngest sister Shirley, of Nova Scotia. She was predeceased by her parents, Elsie and Lawrence Gerow of Winnipeg; sister Joyce Routledge of Calgary, and sister Pearl Duncan of Winnipeg. Hazel spent years enriching the lives of so many with her beautiful talent of fine petit point artwork to display in their homes. Her passion for all living creatures was paramount. Nature was her sanctuary. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, May 6, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in Woodlands Cemetery, Treherne, Manitoba. In lieu of flowers, any donations to your favourite no kill animal shelter would be greatly appreciated by her. I am saddened to hear of Hazel's passing. I used to enjoy having a drink with her at the "Big A" and enjoyed spending time with Hazel, Bob, and Cindy. I remember Hazel with fondness, and smiles, she was a gracious wonderful woman. My thoughts are with her family now. - Posted by: Janis Richards (Friend) on: May 04, 2016
