Sincerest symathies to Jo-Ann, Shawn, & Tim and all the Hughes. Dave and Jo-Ann Hughes welcomed my family to Winnipeg 42 years ago. We were neighbours and close friends for many years raising our children in the Maples and sharing many Saturday night meals, Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving holidays and birthdays. Canasta card games were a regular event and it was usually a fun filled night of fun and laughter. I will always cherish those special times with Dave and all the Hughes family. Dave was a beloved husband to my best friend Jo-Ann, great father, cherished grandfather and special friend to my family. David had a unique sense of humour, he was loyal, trusting, and kind-hearted and he will be forever missed and always remembered. Rest in peace Dave - Posted by: Louise Long (friend ) on: Jun 26, 2016

Dave, and his family , came into my family's life in 1973. He , and his family , became our close reliable best friends that shared each and every celebration , highs and lows of life's travels. Dave was always their for us in good and bad times. Frankly , we may not have endured if not for his support and love. We all shared years of laughs and tears. I consider Dave my best friend. I honor his presence in my life and give thanks to God for his friendship. I will again see you soon Dave. - Posted by: Jim Long (Friend) on: Jun 26, 2016
