CONSTANCE (CONNIE) MARY ELIZABETH FAWLEY (née BACON) January 24, 1930 - June 27, 2016 Connie unexpectedly passed away on June 27, 2016. Survived and sorely missed by her husband of 64 year, Leslie; their children Pamela, Jillian (Brett) and Mark (Jo-Ann); grandchildren Robin, Luke (Erin), Leah (David), Danielle (David) and Adam; and great-grandchildren Sean, Matthew and Elliot. She was predeceased by parents Cecil and Mary; her sisters Josie and Evelyn; her brother Charles, and grandson Matthew. Connie was born in Darlington, Durham, England. She arrived in Halifax, NS on December 21, 1947 and finally arrived in Winnipeg on Christmas Eve. Connie worked for the City of Winnipeg Assessment Department before she and Les were married on August 16, 1952. After raising her kids she worked as a bookkeeper for Clarks, Gambles, Marvin Windows and others. Mom worked for Economy Textile which helped doing crafts including sewing, needlepoint, paper tole, and ceramics. Connie and Les enjoyed spending the summers at "The Cottage" with the family, winters in Palm Springs, as well as trips to England, Europe, the Maritimes and cruises. Connie was involved with Daughters of the Nile and the Temple Tambourines. There will be a celebration of life on Monday, July 4 at the Khartum Shrine House, 1155 Wilkes at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Masons Care Program.
