MARGARET McCALLEN Margaret Ann McCallen passed away peacefully, in her 93rd year, on March 19, 2016 in the presence of her loving family. Beloved daughter of Duncan and Lizzy Cameron (nee Melvin), Margaret was equally proud of her Scottish heritage and her birth city, Winnipeg. Margaret was predeceased by two husbands, Margo Knigge and Jim McCallen, both of whom adored her completely with a love that knew no bounds. Margaret was also predeceased by her sister Edith Forge; her brothers-in-law, Ralph Forge and Roland Orieux; and her nephew Glenn Orieux. Left to remember and celebrate Margaret's remarkable life are her "baby" sister and best friend Dorothy Orieux, her wonderful stepchildren, Jim, Joan and Janet, and many special nieces and nephews. A life well lived, Margaret embraced the world with a vitality and sense of humour, and purpose in all she did. Margaret enjoyed travel, music, good conversation, a wee dram of Single Malt, but most of all she enjoyed her friends and was a proud and loving aunt to her large extended family. When Frank Sinatra sang: To think I did all that; And may I say-not in a shy way, Oh no, not me, I did it my way.", he perfectly described Margaret's philosophy of life. In keeping with Margaret's wishes, cremation has occurred. A memorial service will be held at the Glen Eden Chapel, 4477 Main St., West St. Paul, Winnipeg on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. followed by interment in the family plot. All our love Aunty Marg, until we meet again.
