Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHAROLD (VINCE) VINCENT SAMSON November 2, 1937 - July 16, 2016 Harold Vincent Samson (Vince) passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Seven Oaks Hospital. Vince is lovingly remembered and so deeply missed by his wife Mona (Hutchings), of 58 years of marriage; three daughters, Donna (Bill), Kim (Pete) and Cindy. Grandpa (Poppy) will be deeply missed by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Jennifer (Kevin) and Christopher, Robert, Melissa (Jon) and Austin, Landon and Noah, Randy (Ceara) and Paityn and Saige, Travis, Teresa (Jonathon) and Bentley to be. He is also survived by his brother, Lewis (Dawn); sister, Jane (Ernie); many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Chesley and Vera Samson. Back in April of 1958 Vince and Mona left Newfoundland and moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba and married on August 8. But even after 58 years Vince never lost his Newfie touch. "Arold always loved his heggs." Dropping his H's and picking them up somewhere else. His first job in Manitoba was a guard at the Headingley Jail, throughout the years he would find himself being a CPR Police, a Semi-Driver and a Car Salesman. Driving a semi was probably the one he loved the most. Vince had an ability to make friends and no matter where you went someone knew Vince or Harold. Some of those friends are the ones he made while at the Seven Oaks Hospital fourth floor-Unit 10, and the Dialysis Unit at the Hospital. A very special thank you is sent to the staff as well, who took such amazing care of Vince while he was there. On Saturday, July 23, 2016 Vince's Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. in The Heritage Park Temple, 825 School Road, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R2Y 0S8. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Seven Oaks Hospital Dialysis Unit, 2300 McPhillips Street, Winnipeg, MB R2V 3M3. i met Vince back in the 1980's when we both worked for Stadium Ford. Many years later Vince sold cars for a while at Mid-Town Ford while I was working there. He was always a quiet and unassuming guy,but friendly and easy to talk with. Mostly, we kept in touch through his granddaughter, Melissa. She adored him. He will be missed. Rest in peace, my friend - Posted by: marvin fetch (friend) on: Jul 20, 2016
