DAVID MALCHY In the early morning hours of July 16, 2016 our beloved father, grandfather, great- grandfather and friend died peacefully, at home, with his beloved wife of 60 years, Patricia nearby. We will miss the aridity of his humour, his humanity, and his elegance of thought. He was both a mentor, and anchor for his much loved children: son Brian, and daughters Cindy and Willow. He leaves behind also his grandchildren of whom he was very proud: Aaron, Zoe, Freyja and Rhea; and one great-grandchild Joey Roberts in British Columbia. His much loved friends, Victor and Norma, Sid and Sharon, Maura and Ernest, Rhoda and Larry, as well as cousins Benson and Sharon will have a large space to fill. He leaves a younger brother, Barry Malchy and his family in Ottawa. There will be a gathering at a later date. Donations to St. Boniface Hospital Research Centre, or the Humane Society would be appropriate.

  • My uncle David was a hard working, knowledgeable gentleman with a great sense of humour and a great laugh! He inspired me to be diligent and forthright, and don't get too stressed about things out of your control. Although in recent I haven't kept in touch much, I will miss him. My thoughts are with Auntie Patti and the rest of the family. - Posted by: Bob Dowbiggin (Nephew) on: Aug 31, 2016
