EDDY (ISAAC) KEHLER On Sunday, August 21, 2016, Eddy peacefully passed away at Winnipeg Health Sciences Center after suffering a severe stroke while on vacation. Eddy is survived by his wife Loretta of 54 years, sister Kay Friesen (Stonewall), brother Jay (Winnipeg) and sister Betty (Darryl) Ovans of Regina, son Kerry (Sharon) Kehler and grandson Isaac; step-grandsons, Jeremy and Tyler (California); brother-in-law and best friend Bob Hekl of Winnipeg and several nieces and nephews. Eddy was born in Winkler, Manitoba on November 14, 1936 to Isaac and Helena Kehler, the oldest of seven children. He moved to Redwood City 49 years ago and spent his life in the service station business. Eddy was an avid fan of the Oakland A's and San Jose Sharks, however, nothing could compare to the love he held for his family, especially his grandson Isaac. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. He had a heart of gold and believed in the goodness of all people. May he rest in peace.

Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • Uncle Ed had a very special place in his sister's (Mary Ann's) heart. I know by now they have shared many hugs and laughs in that place we call heaven. Uncle Ed will always have a special place in my heart as well and I contribute some of my blessings in life on the lessons I learned from him. He was a man with the the gift of the gab and a world of knowledge. I will miss that deep voice and his genuine concern for mankind. RIP Uncle Ed and give Mom a hug from me.
