THERESE MARIE LORETTE LAMBERT On Tuesday, September 13, 2016 Therese Marie Lambert passed away at the Grace Hospital, at the age of 88 years. Well loved by her family, Therese will be missed by her three children: Denyse Lambert, Lise Vass (Robert), and Claude Lambert (Bonnie-Lee). "MeMe" will also be fondly remembered by her six grandchildren: Tommy, Teresa, Daylan, Aaron (Lauren), Hayley (Fraser) and Jonah; along with numerous nieces and nephews and their families. Therese's presence will also be missed by her very good friends, Eva, Susan and Katie, the community of St. Charles Roman Catholic Church, and her newfound community of friends at 700 Setter Street. We know Therese will be greeted by her husband of 55 years of marriage, Jean Charles Lambert; her mother and father Alma and Lucien Trudeau; brothers Leonce Joseph (Joe) and Jean-Paul (Johnny) Trudeau; sister-in-law Phyllis Trudeau; sister Frances and husband Jim Cruise; as well as other loved members of her extended family. There to greet her as well will be her much loved and spoiled pets: Major, Lady, Muffin and Ardee. A special place has been made ready for her beside our Heavenly Father. Therese was born in St. Boniface at her home at 260 Dumoulin St. on April 7, 1928 where she spent many happy years until she met her husband of 55 years, Jean Charles Lambert. Their's was a romantic meeting and courtship - one that would have you believe in fairy tales - as she tells the story. And despite the ups and downs that life can throw at us all, their love endured and grew. Passionate about her family, Mom was always thinking of our needs above her own. She was a strong influence in our lives and her kindness and generosity will be missed. Her character reminded us of what it meant to give openly without reward. In the end, as she aged and became ill, she physically did not resemble the young, vibrant woman and mother that we knew. What we do know though, is that the dash existing between her beginning and her end was marked with joy, sadness, love, beauty and all those expressions of life, experiences and wisdom accumulated with a life well lived and that which made her, uniquely her. She was our mother. Prayers will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at 10:00 a.m., with Rev. Fr. Michael Wollbaum presiding. Both will be held in St. Charles Roman Catholic Church, 320 St. Charles Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba. A private family Inurnment will be held in St. Charles Roman Catholic Parish Cemetery at a later date. Our family extends heartfelt thanks to the considerate attention of her homecare workers that allowed her to remain in her home for as long as she did, and the amazing doctors and nurses of 3 South at the Grace Hospital. Their honesty, compassion and caring for Mom was nothing short of incredible. Thank you to all of you! In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted for the St. Charles Catholic Church Elevator Fund, 320 St. Charles St., Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3K 1V2.
