JOHN GUEST On October 17, 2016 at the age of 77 John slipped peacefully away from us. He will be forever missed by his wife Maureen; daughter Bonnie; sons, Todd (Kim), Courtney (Melanie); grandsons, Justin, Nicholas, Tyler (Jessica), Curtis, Bryton, Corey; great-grandsons, Nathan and Brody; brother William (Lillian); sister Janet and numerous nieces and nephews. John was pre-deceased by his parents Gordon and Emma Guest; parents-in-law William and Beverly Magas (Duffy) and brother-in-law Robert Taylor. Born in Petersfield, Manitoba on October 2, 1939, he married Maureen (Janice) Magas in 1961. This month was their 55th Wedding Anniversary! John worked at Winnipeg Transit for thirty-three years before retiring in 1999. He loved spending time in his back yard, playing with his pets, cross word puzzles, bowling, watching Blue Jays baseball and most of all joking with his family. A true kid at heart, we will all miss that sparkle in his eyes when he laughed. "A Grandfather is someone with silver in his hair and gold in his heart." Special thanks to Tower Seven at Deer Lodge for their incredible care, compassion and support for Dad during his final years. Cremation has taken place. As per John's wishes a private memorial will be held with immediate family.
