Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLAURETTE TRUDEL (née FOREST) November 14, 2016 In loving memory Laurette passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. She was predeceased by her parents Alphonse and Annie Forest. We take comfort in knowing that she will be joining many beloved relatives and friends who have passed before her and know that she will be watching over her family as our own special angel. Laurette leaves to mourn her beloved husband Guy, of 54 years, her children Debbie (Victor), Donna (Brent) and Guy Jr. (Michele); three grandchildren: Serena (Allan), Liron and Janvier. Also left to mourn her passing are her sisters, Rose (Amédée) and Ida (Eugéne), sisterin-law Edvidge and brother-in-law Alvin. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters-in law Lucien (Ann), Richard, Marielle (Barney), Réal (Jeannette), Raymond (Yolande), Claudette (John), Claire, Donna and Celine. Laurette was born in La Rochelle on January 5, 1943. She married Guy on October 16, 1962 in St. Malo. Together they raised three children in Churchill, Winnipeg, St. Norbert, Fort Garry and finally in Transcona. Laurette was a fantastic cook who took pride in hosting many dinner parties. She would have made Julia Child and Jacques Pépin proud. Her family has many treasured recipes that will continue her tradition, especially Christmas baking. Laurette loved playing cards and board games with her family. She will be truly missed. Rest in peace Laurette. You have earned your place in Heaven. As per the family's wishes a private service was held at Wheeler Funeral Home, 1800 Day Street in Winnipeg, MB, on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. officiated by Sister Charlotte.
