LAWRENCE CALVIN MARKS November 28, 1930 - November 28, 2016 It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our father, at the age of 86 years, on Monday, November 28, 2016, after a lengthy stay at the Grace Hospital, Winnipeg, Manitoba. Our father is survived by his children: daughter Lori; sons David (Tressie) and Bruce (Dawn), and his granddaughter Mia. Lawrence is also survived by his sisters, Marg (Bob) Drysdale and Barb (Greg) Graham; brother Stan (Ann) Marks; sisters-in-law, Wendy Marks and Gaynor Marks; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and relatives. He was predeceased by his wife of 59 years, Joyce (nee Bowman); his parents, Frank and Elsie May (nee Hanson); brothers, Orville, Lorne, Doug, Bob and Raymond; sister Leona; sisters-in-law, Rhoda and Eleanor, and brother-in-law, Jack Foster. Lawrence was born and raised in Newdale, Manitoba. After farming and working for MTS in his younger years, he moved to Winnipeg and started a new trade as a plumber. Lawrence was a member of UA Plumbers and Pipefitters Local #254 for 55 years. Before and during his retirement, Lawrence was always busy helping family and friends with many different projects. In compliance with Lawrence's wishes, Interment will be held in Newdale, Manitoba. A private family Funeral Service will be held at a later date. Special thank you to the nurses and health care aides at the Grace Hospital (4 North) for their care and compassion they gave to Dad for the time he was there.
