ALICIA ROCHELLE BRUNEAU May 20, 1979 - November 24, 2016 It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing, at home, of our dear daughter, Alicia. She will be greatly missed by her parents, Bonita and Terry Bruneau, Auntie Del Bruneau, Uncle Neil Bruneau and Auntie Ellen Peel, cousins Rob and Cathy Bruneau (Louis McGillivary), Michele Gadd and Trevor (Leesa) Bruneau, Uncle Jamie Hanson, and her very special partner Kirk Ferens. She will, also be missed by her very special close friends Rachel (Emile) Marx and their sons Elijah and Joshua, and Afua Adobea Ampadu-Mintah and her daughter, Nana. Alicia will be missed and remembered by many other friends and relatives whose lives she touched with her caring and giving heart. Alicia was predeceased by her grandmothers - Pauline (Nan) Hanson and Vi (Nana) Bruneau. Alicia was a breast cancer survivor and suffered from severe back and knee pain for many years. Despite these difficulties, she always tried to push forward and present a joyful face. Her love of the Christian faith and desire to spread the Good News of God's Saving Grace was demonstrated by her love and practice of music on the church's Music team and her joy in teaching joyful music to the children. She also loved to teach the children about Jesus. She was faithful in sharing her love of Christ with all those she met in her daily life. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 61 Picardy Place, Winnipeg. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations in Alicia's name may be made to Prairie Presbyterian Church, 162-2025 Corydon Ave., Suite 78, Winnipeg, MB R3P 0N5 or CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. • We were utterly shocked and saddened by the news of Alicia's passing. She was a bright light in a dark world; she always had a good word and the biggest smile for everyone she came into contact with and we are all going to miss her. Terry and Bonnie, please know that your friends, neighbours and relatives are praying for the strength for you to get through this terrible ordeal. We know that now, she sings and dances with angels and has seen Jesus and that makes it somewhat easier but, we who are left here on earth for a while longer will miss her. - Posted by: Leslie and Bill Young (Family friend) on: Dec 04, 2016

  • Terry & Family - Please accept my deepest condolences in the passing of your beautiful daughter. May God wrap his arms around you in the difficult days ahead and your strong faith be your guiding light. Cancer is so limited - It cannot corrode Faith, it cannot shatter Hope, it cannot cripple Love, it cannot destroy Peace, it cannot kill Friendship, it cannot suppress Memories, it cannot silence Courage, it cannot conquer the Spirit, it cannot invade the Soul. I am sorry that I am not in Winnipeg to be there for you but you are in my thoughts and prayers. Connie Michael - Posted by: Connie Michael (Friend of Terry Bruneau) on: Dec 04, 2016
