I was on the police force, same time as Don. I never worked directly with him with the police but I was close to him while playing on the police hockey team.. I was his defenceman and he was my goalie. I saved him sometimes and most of the time he saved me. He was an excellent goalie. We had lots of laughs both on the ice and in the dressing room. I'm shocked at his passing so young and I'm sure he is missed dearly. Condolences to his friends and family. Dan Coffell WPS - Posted by: Dan Coffell (Friend ,team mate.) on: Nov 03, 2020

Great guy I knew when working at Safeway and Don at Rothmans. Went with courtesy of Don to a few Jet games which we both really enjoyed. Have a great rest Don. - Posted by: Robert Gudz (Friend/co worker at Safeway) on: Dec 27, 2019

Don was a funny man, a proud man and one hell of a story teller. I remember sitting in his home or office, listening to stories about days gone by and the adventures he was a part of. His laugh was contagious and one that could never be duplicated. Rest in Peace. My condolences go out to you Sterling, Dawn and Trevor. - Posted by: Will Penner (Friend) on: Feb 05, 2017
