LORNA M. HIGGINS (nee FULFORD) It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lorna Higgins, who left us peacefully and gracefully at the Grace Hospital on Friday, March 3, 2017. Left behind to cherish Lorna's memory are her loving husband, Leslie Higgins of almost 66 years of marriage, and their three children, Linda (Phil) Perks, Larry (Jill) Higgins and Darlene Higgins; four grandchildren, Jennifer (Jason), Melanie (Darrell), Jocelyn (Aaron) and Riley, as well as seven great-grandchildren, Ashton, Joseph, Raina, Braiden, Logan, Carson and Karalyn, all of which she dearly loved and in-turn was loved by them. She was predeceased by her parents and four siblings. Lorna was a beautiful, loving, giving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her nature was to always be concerned about others before herself. Her 37 years at Jessica Lake were some of her favourite times with family and friends. She will always be remembered as an avid curler at the Charleswood Curling Club, a seasoned water skier and card player at the lake, a passionate crossword wizard with her ancient dictionary in hand and an amazing cook and baker. We will all miss you dearly. In compliance with Lorna's wishes there will be no formal service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice in Lorna's name.
