Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT JAMES FERGUSSON May 25, 1927 - March 15, 2017 Robert (Bob) Fergusson passed away peacefully at The Riverview Health Centre. He was predeceased by his wife of 49 years, Eileen (McNutt), in 2001; his parents and his sister Mae. He is survived by his brother Jack; special companion Beryl Lockhart; his children, Robb, Heather (Baptie) and Garth; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Robert was born in Winnipeg. He began working for The City of Winnipeg in 1945, continuing until his retirement in 1986 as City Clerk. The family extends their appreciation to the dedicated and compassionate staff at the Riverview. A memorial service will be held at Fort Garry United Church, 800 Point Rd. on April 10 at 2:00 p.m., following a family interment. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Riverview Foundation or The Alzheimer's Society. Condolences to: www.bardal.ca

Our condolences to all the Fergusson family on the passing of their father and grandfather. In 2015, Uncle Robert and Beryl attended our daughter Meghan's wedding. It was wonderful to see him on 'his new knees' dancing the night away. I think they were one of the last couples to leave. - Posted by: Jeff and Muriel Smith (Jeff - nephew) on: Apr 09, 2017

Bob was City Clerk when I was first elected to City Council in 1980. He was always available to offer advice and guidance to me as I was learning the ropes and never failed to have a smile on his face. Sincere condolences to the Ferguson family in your loss. - Posted by: Jae Eadie (friend) on: Mar 18, 2017

It was my good fortune to have known and worked with Bob for over 30 years. He was a kind and gentle man. He was always pleasant and I still recall his signature reply to my inquiry How are you? "Fine as frog hair" he always replied. My sincere condolences to all his children and family. - Posted by: Dave Grant (Co-worker) on: Mar 18, 2017
