NEAL JOHN STAPLETON On Thursday, April 6, 2017 at the age of 48 years, in Washoe County, Nevada, Neal passed away peacefully in his sleep while resting, during his long haul trip to California. Neal is lovingly remembered and will be greatly missed by his parents, Don and Louise Stapleton (Lamoureux); his brother Wesley Stapleton (Val); sisters, Susan Scrivens (Lawrence), Cheryl Stapleton and Brenda McCarthy (Ian) as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral Mass will be Celebrated on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Paul the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 2400 Portage Avenue with Rev. Fr. Eric Giddins, presiding. Please dress casually; this is what Neal would have wanted! In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 401 - 1 Wesley Avenue, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 4C6. Happy Birthday Neal!! I miss you soo much. It feels like it was just yesterday when I last saw you. Today you would have been 49! Wow to think we were only early 20's when we met! Things with NASCAR sure have changed since you continued on your journeys... oh and all kinds of crazy things. A week has gone by. I still can't believe you are gone Neal. We went to meditation tonight and had a nice talk with Holly and Meriam. They are saddened to hear the news and passes on their condolences. Neal will always be forever remembered and loved by many. I thank you Neal for all our years together as a friend then boyfriend then my husband of 21 or so years. We had a total of 26 years together. I was lucky to have spent half my life with you. It's sad to hear that Neal has passed away NASCAR has lost one of their biggest fan. It's not going to be the same when I watch and see car #2 which Neal liked lol.
