Condolences & Memories (12 entries)

  • Terie helped us to buy our first home, in Winnipeg, and we remained friends through our nine years there. We shared a passion in gardening, clinical work, and the Winnipeg cultural events. I always looked forward to our visits in her beautiful backyard, sharing wine, and good food. She was like a breath of fresh air. Even after we left Winnipeg, we remained in touch. When friends were planning a move to Winnipeg, I knew that they would be in good hands with her counsel. Her warmth, laughter, and loving kindness resonate in my memories of her, which I hold dearly. We were blessed to know her. With our sincerest condolences. - Posted by: Su & Randy Hartmann (friend) on: May 03, 2017

  • Dear Pearl, Gerry, Dave and Geof - We are so deeply sorry to hear about the loss of Terie. Our heartfelt condolences to all of you. Surviving your child is terrible and extremely hard to cope with, we know because it's a journey we have been on for the last 4 months. Our heartfelt sympathy is with all of you during this difficult time. Hugs to all. - Posted by: Brian Karasiuk and Nadene Kouk-Karasiuk (Friends) on: May 02, 2017

  • Terie was the brightest of lights, she radiated life and love. She was lovely and charming, witty and wise, so generous and giving. She leaves an enormous hole in our lives. Words fail me, sorrow overtakes, I just can't believe she's gone. To live in the hearts of those you love is to never die. I will always remember her. - Posted by: Rick Yarish (friend) on: May 02, 2017

  • I just caught a moment in time with Terie and I was touched by her beauty, her inner brilliance and her sincere kindness. As often happens, we lose touch with some of the people who come into our lives and I had been thinking of her over the past year or so with the intention of getting together with her to thank her for being there for me when I really needed her. She was just there without me even asking and did the things she did out of the kindness of her heart. I am deeply saddened by my procrastination and will never be able to tell her again in person how much her help meant to me. So for you in Heaven, than you with all my heard and may you tend to your gardens with the other Angels for eternity. - Posted by: Ottilia Spiller (My happenchance friend) on: May 01, 2017

  • I received this shocking news from one of the many referrals Terie shared with me over the last 28 years of my real estate career. Terie was one of the most professional Realtors I have had the privilege to work for. She cared deeply for her clients and their best interests during and after the completion of the deal. I have very fond memories of the times we shared at our annual conferences. She was always smiling, kind, fun and willing to share her life experience with each and everyone of us. I send my sincere condolences to Terie's family and friends. The RE/MAX family has lost a beautiful soul. May we all find comfort in our memories. - Posted by: Grace Beyer RE/MAX SASKATOON (RE/MAX) on: May 01, 2017

  • What sad news. Terie was such a lovely person, always so sweet and kind. I will miss our talks. Terie was such a good listener. She sincerely cared about what was going on in your life. She always appreciated that you shared your feelings with her. She considered it a privilege! I'll never forget how she risked her life during a house fire to save one of her cats. That was just normal for her. Truly a kind and loving soul!! Rest in Peace Terie. It was a honour knowing you!! - Posted by: Mary Richardson (Friend) on: Apr 29, 2017

  • I am lost when these bright lights go out. Terie was among the brightest of them in our world. We spent many hours together, talking, encouraging, drinking, smoking and LAUGHING. Good lord, the woman had a laugh that emanated from the best part of her, and her irreverence and sense of humour was an absolute joy. Working with her on many projects was usually an enriching experience in one way or another; she was bold, creative and kind. She lived by a great code - her code - and always seemed to be unafraid of change and challenge. I have a lifetime of memories to savour, and savour them I will...but I wanted ten lifetimes. Gone far too soon, my sweet friend. You left us all wanting more, but your example will be present in many of us. I was proud to call you my friend. My sweet friend Terie. - Posted by: Barry Janzen (Friend) on: Apr 29, 2017

  • Terie was a kind and compassionate gentle soul. She patiently & lovingly befriended feral cats that would not even let her touch them for months, she loved her garden and growing things and it saddens me that she is missing this time of year that she would have loved being out in her wild garden. We shared an openness to areas of spirituality I often jokingly asked her what "airy fairy" thing are you into now? She would tirelessly help her real estate clients. She had a joyous lovely laugh and smile that lit up her whole face. My deepest sympathy to her family and loved ones. She cared deeply for her friends & family and I will miss her. - Posted by: Rhonda Navratil (Friend & Colleague) on: Apr 29, 2017

  • Terie was such an asset to the real estate business in Winnipeg. Always ever so professional and with a quiet sense of humour, she will be remembered and very much missed. Rest in peace, Terie. Condolences to the Langen's and their friends. - Posted by: Trudy Johnson (work associate) on: Apr 29, 2017

  • We were so sad to hear of the loss of our friend and neighbor Terie. Terie was a beautiful quiet and friendly neighbor who's passion was to make her yard a beautiful garden sanctuary. Which she shared with us all. She offered tours (and Wine) and visits to her lovely yard and home. We enjoyed her lovely garden from across the street. She will be missed. Sincere condolences to her many friends, neighbors and family. - Posted by: Derek and Karla Steele (Friends / Neighbors) on: Apr 27, 2017

  • Terie was what Eric and I referred to as our guardian angel. She saved our butts more times than I can count. Neither Eric nor I would have our homes if it wasn’t for her, nor would we have met and fallen in love. It was so easy to transition from real estate agent to friend. Terie had the most amazing way about her. Anyone who met her would agree that she seemed to exude this calming and positive energy, whether you’d call it good karma or innate spiritualness or just simply being a good person. She was always there to give us advice on everything from gardening and renovations to life and love. She could talk about anything and everything from politics and law to healing crystals. We loved her creativity, her spunk, her smile and her laugh. We loved spending time with her and selfishly regret that we won’t have the opportunity for more of that. We hope that we gave her even half the happiness and love that she showered on us. If we can provide half the positive support to others that Terie showed us, we will have lived very meaningful lives. We miss you already Terie. - Posted by: Andrea Giacobbo, Eric Janzen (Friend) on: Apr 26, 2017

  • I am so saddened by Terie's passing. In the few years I knew Terie in Winnipeg we shared a passion for gardening, the journey for self knowledge and truth. Terie's laugh and love of life were inspiring. She embraced her friends with warmth and authenticity. Condolences to her family and friends. Terie has a special place in my heart and memory. - Posted by: Jaan Scheel (Friend) on: Apr 22, 2017
