Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRAYMOND HALBERG Our beloved uncle Ray passed away at home on April 20, 2017. Ray was predeceased by his parents Hulda and Johannes, sisters Edna, Ruby and brothers Cecil, Bill, Ken and Clifford. He is survived by his sister-in-law Lillian (Cecil) and numerous nieces and nephews who will always love uncle Ray for the wonderful, kind and loving man he was. Ray worked as a hair stylist for over 70 years, making many friends along the way with both co-workers and clients. Ray was extremely talented and truly loved what he did, and as a result, he won many awards for his innovative hair styles. Ray also loved visiting his cottage at Sandy Hook, where he spent many hours relaxing, puttering, entertaining guests and having fun up until he was 91 years old. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, May 15, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. "Grieve not, nor speak of me with tears, but laugh and talk of me as if I were beside you there."
