Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMAUREEN SHERRY HUTMACHER (nee DUKELOW) Maureen Sherry Hutmacher passed away on May 16, 2017, after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Maureen was born January 20, 1948, and spent most of her early life in Weston and East Kildonan. She is survived by her husband Cleo (Red) Hutmacher and their dog Conway. Red and Maureen recently celebrated their 50th anniversary, having married October 15, 1966 after a five year courtship before her parents said to Red, "are you going to hang around here forever?" She was predeceased by her parents, Tom and Doris Crook; sister-in-law Anna Hutmacher; brother-in-law Allan Krentz; sister-in-law Maureen Hampton. She leaves behind to remember, her daughter Lisa Porco (Rich), Ryan and Alyssa; son Sean (Corrie), Jadin, Kayley and Cleo. Also remembering her are Red's siblings, Wayne (Audrey), Myrna Krentz, Carman (Judith), Bob Hampton (Laura) and Myron (Maureen); plus many other relatives and friends. She devoted her whole life to her children and grandchildren. She doted on them, taking great pride in all of their achievements and was very quick and understanding to forgive their "errors". Same could be said for Red. Even though she was dying, her main concern was how it was going to affect her family. Over the last 15 years, Red and Maureen vacationed in Texas and Nevada where they made lots of new and lasting friends. Prior to that, they started RV'ing in 1975 and had many happy and memorable trips. Cremation has taken place and as per her wishes, no services will be held. Should friends wish to remember her, please do so by making a donation to the Manitoba Great Pyrenees Rescue, Box 274, New Bothwell, MB R0A 1C0. A special thanks to the great staff who took the best care possible of her in Room 323 at the Concordia Hospital. Also, a special thank you to Dr. Shelley Zubert-Peto who helped us immensely in navigating through this time.

Wow, I seem to miss Maureen more and more all the time. I guess you really start to feel another's absence when you are doing something and suddenly wish they were there. Our family is missing Maureen's beautiful white hair at the kitchen window and her calling out to us to comment on something amusing. We miss our friend - she made us feel cared about . She noticed what we were doing and she was genuinely interested in our lives and our well-being. A neighbor like that is so very rare. We're grateful for knowing Maureen. xoxo - Posted by: Liane , Greg, Courtney and Rowen (Neighbor) on: Jun 06, 2017

We were sincerely saddened to hear of the passing of our buddy, Maureen. At the beaches in Port Aransas. the desert of Nevada, and our homes in Bemidji and Winnipeg, we shared happy times and lots of laughs. Our hearts are broken for Red and the family, as we know how much she was treasured. Bless you all. - Posted by: Al & Cindy Torgerson (friends) on: May 21, 2017

To Red and family, Bill and I were very sorry to hear of Maureen's passing. I and all her "luncheon" friends will miss the good times we shared and her special talent of making us laugh, with her quick wit and funny stories. She shared with us pictures and stories of her wonderful family, especially her grandchildren. Our thoughts are with you all at this time. I will always remember Aunty Maureen as a kind and caring person. She was quick to make you feel better or smile. I always felt so comfortable with her and like she was my second mom. She will always have a special spot in my heart. - Posted by: Jolene (Niece ) on: May 20, 2017

Maureen will always hold a dear place in our hearts. Our daughter has often said how cool is Alyssa's grandma! Seeing Maureen at so many sporting and school events of her grandkids just exemplified how family was her whole life. Lisa, we can only hope that all the wonderful trips and memories with your parents helps to heal the hole in everyone's hearts, one day at a time. Her warm smile and joy of laughter will always be remembered. Hugs to all of you. Claudia, Brad and Haley ❤️ - Posted by: Claudia Stanik-McClintock (Lisa's friend ) on: May 20, 2017
