JILL SALYERDS With saddened hearts, I announce the sudden passing of our beloved Jill on May 4, 2017. She was a wife, sister, auntie and a friend to so many. Jill was predeceased by her parents, Jack and Patricia Salyerds. She will be deeply missed by her husband Norman McEwan; sister Jacqueline Warden, sister Jerrie Crean (nephew Johnny Crean, niece Chelsea Crean), and stepsister Dawn Hodgkinson. Jill will also be greatly missed by the numerous sister and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews of the McEwan clan; her neighbours, friends and her three beloved dogs, Fiddich, Nugget and Crouton. Jill was born in Galt, Ontario and went on to work from the East to West coast of Canada, making lifelong friends wherever she went. Jill finally made her home in Winnipeg, Manitoba and met the love of her life Norman. Her home and gardens were one of her biggest passions, as well as her cooking. She would cook up a storm that would put most chefs to shame, as anyone would attest who has tasted her cooking. Her other interests were feeding and watching her birds at her numerous feeders, her larger than life love of all animals, live theatre, dancing, many types of music, especially the blues, and singing. She would serenade me with her angelic voice and hit notes with perfection. Jill always put others before herself. Her quick witt and humour left a lasting impression on all who knew her, and will be surely missed. A private celebration of Jill's life on behalf of her wishes will be held at a later date. "I will always be surrounded by your warmth and tenderness, I will love no other until we meet again" Your loving husband, Norman
