Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBEATRICE MARY LARSEN (nee SCHARF) Peacefully on Sunday, May 14, 2017, at Rosewood Lodge in Stonewall, Beatrice Larsen passed away at the age of 96 years with family by her side. Beatrice is survived by her daughter Joyce (Paul) Buors; grandchildren, Christine (Murray) Campbell, Keith (Jennifer) Buors, Teresa (Marc), Jeffery (Corlie), Wade (Morgann) Larsen and great-grandchildren, Melissa, Andrew (Kirsten) Campbell, Logan and Aidan Buors; sister Joan (Wilf) Henke and sister-in-law Kathy Scharf. She was predeceased by her husband Len in 1980; son Ken in 2003; daughter-in-law Iris in 2011; her parents, Lydia and Richard Scharf; brothers, Bill, Dickie, Doug, George; sisters, Elsie, Mae, Lottie and Alice; as well as many nieces and nephews. Beatrice was born January 21, 1921, in the RM of Coldwell and was raised in Oak Point. She met and married Len Larsen in 1940 and settled in Ideal, MB. where together they farmed and raised their family. Beatrice always kept busy crocheting, knitting, sewing, canning, baking and gardening. She enjoyed spending time with family and was always willing to help out wherever she could. She was a hard working woman, never complained about anything and always kept a positive attitude. Her family was her life and she held them very close. In 2012, after over 70 years on the family farm, Beatrice moved into the town of Stonewall, with the last one and one half years residing at Rosewood Lodge. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. at the Erinview Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Erinview Cemetery Fund, c/o Joy Ogilvie, Box 417, Teulon, MB. R0C 3B0 or Rosewood Lodge, 513 1st Ave. North, Stonewall, MB. R0C 2Z0. The family would like to extend special thanks to all the staff at Rosewood Lodge for the excellent care and kindness given to our Granny during her stay there.
