Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPETER CAMERON MCDONALD Peter passed away peacefully at Concordia Hospital on May 16, 2017, after a brief illness, with his family by his side. He was predeceased by his father John McDonald in 2005. Peter is survived by his mother Frances McDonald, brothers Andrew (Karen) of Whiterock, BC, Paul (Teddi) of Scottsdale, Arizona, and Philip of Winnipeg. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. Peter grew up in Norwood and attended H.L. Softley School, and then Nelson McIntyre Collegiate. After his schooling he attended a workshop at Imagine Ability. With his outgoing and amiable personality he made many friends there and participated in all of their social events. Peter was an excellent swimmer and was a member of the Stingray swim team for many years. He competed in swim meets and won many trophies. Peter spent summers at the lake with his family at Hillside Beach. In his later years, he resided a Dasch community residence and always enjoyed outings with his house mates. Peter made many friends with all his Dasch workers and care workers. Thank you for the excellent care and love given to Peter by all his workers. The family extends heartfelt thanks to Dr. Caners and the staff of Concordia Hospital for their compassion and caring shown during his final days. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Dasch Inc., 117 Victor Lewis Drive, Winnipeg, MB R3P 1J6. A private family viewing was held. There will be no formal service as per the family's wish. Deep condolences to Fran and Family for their loss of Peter. When your family resided on Lyndale Drive Peter was a welcome fixture in The Norwood Flats.
