THEODORE (TED) WILGOSH It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ted on Thursday, May 18, 2017, at Betel Home in Selkirk. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 51 years, June. Left to mourn is his son Michael (Alexandra); daughter Deborah (Douglas); granddaughters, Clare and Eve; also left is his brothers, sisters, cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends. Among the many organizations he contributed to in the Selkirk area, were the Knights of Columbus and the Selkirk Curling Club. Ted was employed for many years at Manitoba Highways, starting as a surveyor; he studied Engineering and ended up managing many projects, including the big blue bridge. As a young man, he played accordion in a band with his friends and relatives. A regular at Smitty's and the golf course restaurant, he brought cheer to those who knew him with his humour and interesting stories. Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, May 24, at 10:30 a.m., at the Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church, Sekirk, Manitoba, with Father Jerry Talarski officiating. A luncheon will follow the mass in the church basement hall. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ted's memory can be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
