Linda, I was so saddened to hear of the loss of your mother just before Mother's Day. Although I cannot attend the service, my sincere thought and prayers are with you as you say your earthly farewell....and until you meet again on that glorious day. My sincere condolences, Betty Schultz - Posted by: Betty Schultz () on: Jun 09, 2017

To my cousins Gwen Linda, Frances and Evelyn,,,,, my most sincere condolences. I am so sorry that us cousins could not connect while Barb and I were in Winnipeg that weekend. Our support is always here for you. The news was a shock to everyone. I am happy that I stopped and chatted with Betty for a few minutes at lunch on the 12th. She had a big smile for me, We know that our parents cannot live forever, however it is never easy to face the day that it happens. Keep the great memories intact as long as you can. I know I will. I will always cherish the family get togethers as a kid,,,,,,couldn't wait until everyone arrived at either house. Betty was always a great cook and loved to help in the kitchen. She had a great sense of humour and howled at a good joke. I loved to hear her play the piano and accordion, and I think I learned a few choice swear words from her when I watched an adult card game. At Gimli, I remember her being so nervous about her girls being too close to the lake water,,,,that is the love of a Mom. A round of golf was high on her list, but she stayed away from the boat. I stopped in at the Kirkfield once and saw her in action,,,,,,admirable to say the least. She truly embraced her job and her clientele, a quality you just don't see today. I was proud to call Betty my aunt,,,just as you are proud to have her as your Mom. She is now at peace, and my good memories will remain. Love to you all at this difficult time.
