  • Our prayers and thoughts are with you Alison at this time of sorrow and loss. The world has lost an incredible gentle and caring man, however, Heaven has gained an amazing Angel. May the love and support of family and friends help you through this very difficult time. And may many more wonderful memories of your Dad always keep him close to your heart. When words can not be found - a HUGE hug is sent. We will always remember all the great times we shared with you and your parents in Regina when you were a baby. • I am so saddened to learn of his passing. He did our tax returns and was a great friend to my husband. Whenever I came in to see him-he always had time to chat and ask about Daniel. It's true that God always takes the good ones first to be with him in Heaven. I will truly miss putting together his "Christmas goody bag" for him, It was our way of always letting him know that his kindness was always appreciated and never forgotten nor will it ever be. My condolences to the family. - Posted by: Joyce Hoy (He was my husbands associate and friend) on: Jul 10, 2017

  • Gladys's sister Maja and husband Harry Kirby retired in Elkhorn Manitoba and used visit Fleming often to see the Stonehouse family. Very fine people. This is where I met Alison. We used to play around Fleming, pluck chickens and all kinds of fun stuff. Alison's Dad was a good man. Sad to see him pass. Our condolences. Darrin Kirby and family. - Posted by: Darrin Kirby (Glady's sister Maja's grandson. Wayne Kirby's son) on: May 25, 2017

  • We went to the one room Archie School together, Calvin was three years younger than I. Calvin was a darned nice guy, a lot of fun, with a fantastic disposition. Unfortunately, life took us in different paths resulting in my moving to Ottawa and I did not see him again until a Stonehouse family reunion in Elkhorn, Manitoba, some decades ago. At that time, Calvin did not seem to have not changed much. Calvin was a handsome man, carried himself well however, seemed quite serious. I did not have the opportunity to meet his daughter, perhaps one day I will. Calvin will be truly missed, I know he has a special place, in Heaven. - Posted by: Kenneth Stonehouse (Second Cousin.) on: May 24, 2017

  • Over the years our paths did not cross again but it is memorable that they did in the early days. Calvin was the only boy in the same grade as I when we began school in the one room Archie school. I had a nostalgic look at a 1952 photo of all six of the boys in the school. My condolences to the Stonehouse family who were four of the six in the photo. - Posted by: Ron Kirby () on: May 21, 2017
