LINDA CASEY
Born: Nov 07, 1955
Date of Passing: May 15, 2017
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLINDA CASEY It is with profound sadness the family announces the sudden passing of Linda Casey, of Winnipeg, MB, on May 15, 2017 at their family cottage in Clearwater Bay, ON. Born November 7, 1955, she shared a happy life in St. James with her three younger sisters and parents, Diane and Bob Fraser. It was a busy place as they surrounded themselves with pets, enjoyed many family picnics in Assiniboine Park, vacationed down south, and spent weekends at their cottage in West Hawk Lake. Often the girls were seen sporting home-made, matching outfits. Linda started her career as a dental assistant and later returned to earn her dental hygiene degree. She was passionate about her profession. Her warm smile, concern for others and her zest for life were contagious. She developed great friendships with her colleagues and patients. After years of hinting to her husband, Lauren was born in 1989. Jennifer was born four years later and Linda couldn't have been happier. She loved every part of being a mother; the daily love notes in the kid's lunch kits, cheering the kids on at numerous sporting events, and even the endless laundry. Linda was an extremely hard worker, balancing the schedule of her busy husband, high energy children, career, many friends, and her extremely tidy home. Although exhausted at times, she wouldn't go to bed until all of these were properly looked after. Linda's heart knew no bounds and she always had time to talk to both friends and strangers - where she always made a connection. To meet her was to be charmed by her. Never did a baby or a stray animal ever escape without a hug. Another of Linda's joys was sharing time with family and friends at their cottage on Clearwater Bay, ON, where no one ever went hungry. She was bitten by the travel bug and when she wasn't at the lake, she loved exploring the world in places such as Thailand, the Caribbean, China and Africa. Linda's charismatic personality and sense of adventure were contagious and rubbed off on the girls, who joined them on many of these adventures. Linda was predeceased by her father, Bob Fraser in 2014. She is survived by her husband Michael, daughters Lauren (Cory) and Jennifer, mother Diane, sisters Susan (Carl), Jill (Trevor), Alison (Don), her extended family, Michelle (Gary), Colleen (John), Paul (Kim), and her many nieces and nephews, all of whom loved her deeply and will miss her greatly. She loved them endlessly. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Linda's favourite charity, Siloam Mission. As was her nature, she also volunteered there as she believed in helping others. Linda's family welcomes all her friends to a celebration of life on Monday, May 22 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at St. Charles Country Club, 100 Country Club Blvd. For those who wish to sign the online Guest Book please visit our website. Hi Mike, I am not sure if you remember me as it has been many years since I leased a car from you at National Leasing in Winnipeg. My name is Sherri Caine and I worked at Misericordia Hospital. I met your wife once when I left my parking pass in one of your cars. Very sad to hear the news of her passing. I came across your name on Facebook. I now live in Victoria. All the best to you and your family. Sherri - Posted by: Sherri Caine (Former client) on: Aug 24, 2018

Dear Michael. You don't know me, but I was a friend of Linda's from the early 60's to 71. Our family had a cottage right next to the Fraser's on West Hawk in Jack Fish Bay. My name is Bruce Wilde. We sold our cabin in 71, but for approximately 7 years our families enjoyed spending the summers at the lake. Linda was the oldest of all us kids and mother'd us when we were out of hand...but was so full of energy and fun as well. I've thought of those days countless times...and now as I get a bit more comfortable with computers...reached out to find the Fraser Clan...and with overwhelming sadness saw that both your lovely Wife and her Dad have passed. My deepest sympathy for you and your family. Complete your journey with her in your soul. The very best to you. Bruce Wilde. - Posted by: Bruce Wilde (Childhood friend ) on: Jan 12, 2018
