Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPHILIP EDEL October 2, 1923 - May 18, 2017 Philip passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, at the Whitemouth Personal Care Home on May 18, 2017. He was 93. He was predeceased by his parents, Katie and Reinhold; brother John; sisters, Annie, Martha, Margret, Hulga and Elsie; and son in infancy, Florian. He leaves to mourn his passing his loving wife of 63 years, Armande (Alma nee Swan); his children, Faron (Elizabeth), Kelowa, Bonita, Ellery, and Robyn (Laurie). Philip is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandson, brothers, sisters, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. The family would like to thank the staff at Pinawa Hospital and Whitemouth Personal Care Home, as well as Dr. Bruneau and Dr. Papetti, for the care and compassion they showed towards our husband and father. Philip was born in the Roblin area where he was raised on the family farm. He moved to Seven Sisters Falls where he helped build the power station and worked as a truck driver. Flowers are gratefully accepted or a donation may be made to the Alzheimer Society Manitoba, 10-120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 23 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, River Hills, MB, with viewing one hour prior. Interment will take place in the church cemetery. I always remember Uncle Philip as a happy person..Have remembered him when I was a kid...My Father Murray, Mother Pauline and brother Gerald with miss his Company...I knew I couldn't come to his funeral, to due with Robert(Kell) husband and animal chores at home... I did not know Philip personally but I have seen him over the past several months, first in Pinawa Hospital, when my mother was a fellow patient there, and then In Whitemouth Personal Care Home where she was also transferred.
