MARY RUTH SCHETTLER Mary passed away peacefully on June 14, 2017 at Vista Park Lodge at the age of 95. Mary was born to Samuel and Sarah Pratt on August 25, 1921 in Tenby, MB. Mary is survived by her son Warren (Trudy), daughter Sandra, grandchildren, Keith, Donna (Tim) and Alex, step-grandchildren, Bryan (Lana) and Shelley (Rick), great-grandchildren, Branden, Shelby, Cody and Jada, as well as many nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband John of 67 years, her parents, sister Jeanette, brothers, Jim, Frank, Bill and Len, and her best friend Mona, who passed on the same day five years ago. Mary spent 31 years wintering in Arizona where she enjoyed playing bridge, golfing and enjoying a glass of John's homemade white wine. Memorial service will be held Friday, June 23 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, 5335 Portage Avenue, Headingley MB. Reception to follow at Headingley Community Centre, 5353 Portage Avenue. Flowers gratefully declined. Memorial donations may be made to Holy Trinity Anglican Church, CancerCare Manitoba or charity of choice. Mary and John were great neighbours and friends. We shared many stories and much laughter in their gazebo. Also always enjoyed visiting them in Arizona. We could always count on them. We miss them.
