He will be dearly missed by his many nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Lyn, as he was affectionately known, was born May 30, 1943 in Glenboro, MB, the oldest of six children. He grew up in Glenboro and moved to Winnipeg in 1962. He graduated from the University of Winnipeg in 1964 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He had several careers and business adventures but his greatest achievement in life was his family. He was so much more than a dad. Lyn was always giving of his time and skills to anyone in need and most family and friends have something in their house that he helped build. He was always up for an adventure with the love of his life, Gayle and his favourite times were spent watching his granddaughters participate in their many sports and big family gatherings. We are grateful for all the wonderful memories that we have. Lyn, we're not quite sure what we will do without you. You are always in our hearts. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. We are so sorry and saddened to hear of Lyn's passing. I have such great memories of Lyn from our school days and beyond from our Glenboro upbringing. We shared many good times and lots of thoughts and aspirations in those days. We have not seen a lot of each other of late, as time and life pass by, but we have always thought of Lyn & Gayle as friends. We extend our deepest condolences to Gayle and family on your loss.
