DAREN LLOYD CORMACK With heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Daren Lloyd Cormack at Concordia Hospital on May 19, 2017, at the age of 55. He was a father, brother, uncle, and son who found nothing but joy in life, and always made the best out of any situation. Daren is survived by his father, Lloyd Cormack; his son, Quinn Cormack (Alex) (Darlene, Quinn's mother); his siblings, Darcy Van Wyk (Rick) and Kim Wahl (Dwain), and nieces and nephews, all of whom loved him deeply and will miss him greatly. Daren was predeceased by his mother, Rose Cormack, his sister, Allyson Cormack, and his baby brother Joseph. Daren found nothing but joy in life and always made the best out of any situation. In his early stages of life, he showed his passion for cars by driving his brandy wine coloured 440 6-pack 1970 Plymouth Cuda. Being a black belt in taekwondo and a red sash in Kung-Fu demonstrates how impassioned he was for martial arts, as well as having competed in and won may tournaments. Nature also held a grasp on Daren's heart as he would experience nothing but pure joy from the outdoors. From fishing to hunting to just spending the night in the middle of nowhere was what he truly enjoyed doing. He would always do everything in his power to make sure everyone experienced the outdoors as he did, teaching his son how to respect and enjoy all aspects of nature. Later in life Daren developed passions for both cooking and body building. He spent numerous hours at the gym working towards his goals of fitness and being healthy. Daren took pride in his healthy lifestyle and always tried to encourage those around him to fight for what they wanted in life. He worked in the Research and Development department as a supervisor at MacDon Industries for 20+ years. Daren loved his job and the people he worked with as they brought joy to his life each day. More so than anything else, Daren lived his life for his son, Quinn Cormack, who was his pride and joy. Those who were close to Daren admired him for his positive outlook on life; "Live life, be happy, love always, know nothing else." A service will be held on June 26, 2017 at Breezy Bend Country Club beginning at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Daren may be made to the Winnipeg Pet Rescue Shelter, 3062 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3K 0Y1, http://petrescueshelter.com For those who wish to sign the online Guest Book please visit our website.
