Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWOLFGANG HECK 1927 - 2017 Wolfgang Heck died in his Winnipeg home on June 20, 2017, surrounded by family. Beloved husband to Inge Heck for 63 years, father to Angela Heck (Ivan Hughes), and loving grandfather to Thea Hughes and Tobias Hughes. His life was lived with respect, honour, dignity, curiosity, and a lot of love and wit. Born in Herzberg, Germany on May 25, 1927, he immigrated to Canada in 1954. His professional life was spent as a photographer at the University of Manitoba. A special thank you to Margret Malaviya for her care and support and to Dr. Brian Sharkey. We miss the wit, knowledge and and tremendous insight "Mr. Wolf" displayed in all levels of life, history, philosophy, world affairs and politics at every opportunity. Our hours in local coffee shops brought out enough solutions to solve nearly all the problems of the world. We are so happy that we had the opportunity to meet you and Wolf although we wish we had the good fortune to have you as friends for much longer than we did. We will miss him terribly and convey our condolences to you Inge. His great sense of humor and ability to converse on any and all topics were what made him such a genuine pleasure to be around.
