IRENE ZIEGLER It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Irene Ziegler on June 28, 2017 at Heritage Lodge, at the age of 88 years. Irene will be sadly missed by daughters, Leanne (Andy) and Donna (Don), and grandchildren, Jessica (Steve), Matthew, Steven, Kaitlin (Joey) and Melissa (John). Irene was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Conrad, parents, Neva and Harold, and sister Violetta. Mom's greatest joy was her family, especially her grandkids. She spent many hours playing Yahtzee and cards with them. She loved being part of the Kiwanis gang and enjoyed many crib nights with Cecile and Irene. She also loved her Blue Jays, her Bombers, curling and the casino. Mom worked for Liggetts department store, Industrial Industries, Richard Miles and Sons, and then David Miles, until finally retiring in her early 80s. The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the staff at Heritage Lodge for all their kindness. A memorial service will be held at Crestview United Church, 316 Hamilton Avenue on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations in Irene's memory may be made to Siloam Mission or Salvation Army.
