Just learnt of Stephen's passing!! So, so sad!! He was one of the greatest fast bowlers I ever played against; no wonder he was selected to represent Manitoba nationally!! Quite a talented athlete, intelligent professional, and a consummate, personable human being ........ his welcoming smile, modulated voice and infinite wisdom made him friends far and wide. He had a way of making you feel good when you were in his presence!! The world has lost a good soul; we'll miss you, brother! Rest peacefully wherever you are!! - Posted by: BYRON JONES (Fellow cricketer) on: Mar 16, 2018

From the first time I met Stephen (1983) I was touched by his friendliness, his affable smile and his kindness, always (seemingly) smiling. He was a very genuine person who was willing to help, give advice, easy to chat on any topic. And also a very talented cricketer - an alrounder with immense ability. It was certainly blessing to have met Stephen and I pray his wife and family (brothers, sisters and all) will be comforted by the grace of God in this their time of need. Goodbye my friend. - Posted by: Peter Rochester (Friend) on: Jul 11, 2017

Stephen and I were contempories from early school days. We many a great game of cricket whilst at Coleridge & Parry school. We served at the altar of All Saints Anglican Church. After he moved to Canada we still kept in touch with my few visits to Canada and his visits back home. I will always cherish the memories of not only a close relative but a friend.
