GIUSEPPE (JOE) PASQUARELLI Peacefully on July 10, 2017, with family by his side, Giuseppe (Joe) passed away at the Riverview Health Centre at the age of 78. He leaves behind his loving wife Italia, of 55 years, three daughters, Marisa (Gino), Nicoletta (Domenico), and Fiorina (Michael) and his six grandchildren, Antonio, Stephanie, Jenna, Liam, Emmett and Michaela. Joe was predeceased by his parents, in- laws and brother Raffaele. The eldest of seven children, Joe was born in Pizzoferato, Italy, in 1939. He married Italia in 1962. As a young man in his 20's, Joe travelled to Germany, Switzerland and France, working in construction, before immigrating to Canada with his family in 1970. A family man, Joe loved making wine and charcuterie with his brothers and sons-in-law, and could often be found tending his bountiful gardens, and loved watching wrestling. Joe was a talented mason who helped construct many buildings in Calgary and Winnipeg, and took pride in his construction business, Masoncrete, which he ran for over 25 years. He will be remembered for his integrity, honesty, and his amazing sense of humour. His perseverance to make a better life for his family in Canada will never be forgotten. The family wishes to thank Dr. Dawe at CancerCare Manitoba, home care and respite workers. Special thanks to Joe's home care worker Sheri, palliative care nurse Dana, and the rest of the team for all the care and comfort they provided him. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to CancerCare Manitoba or charity of choice. For those wishing to pay respects, the viewing will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help at 4588 Roblin Blvd. on Friday, July 14, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 12:00 p.m. with time of fellowship following the service.
