ROSS GEORGE MYERS February 18, 1960 - July 8, 2017 With heavy hearts, the family regrets to announce the passing of Ross. After a long and hard-fought battle with multiple myeloma cancer, Ross passed away in his home in the comfort of family on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at the age of 57 years. Remaining to forever cherish Ross' memory is his mother Norma; sisters, Pam (Bob Coutu), Cynthia, and Judy (Gerry Rentz); brothers, Bruce (Janice) and Stuart (Vanessa), as well as nieces; nephews and their children. He was predeceased by his father, Alfred. Ross, aka Oscar, was born in Winnipeg and spent most of his life in St. James. He was a journeyman welder who enjoyed his time with family, hockey, football, hunting, snowmobiling and riding his motorcycle. Ross was stubborn and strong willed, he marched to the beat of his own drum. He could always be depended on in a time of need. He was independent, never negative and seldom complained throughout his illness. Ross will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A private family Graveside Service was held in Brookside Cemetery. The family would like to thank Dr. Rami Kotb, staff and volunteers at CancerCare Manitoba, the staff at Brathwaite's Pharmacy and palliative care.
