DAVID ALLEN MELNICHUK Memorial Service There will be a memorial service for David Allen Melnichuk in Lorette, MB at Le Club Desbles Dour, 1254 Dawson Road, on Saturday, July 29 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. David passed away suddenly on January 6, 2017 at his home in Edmonton. He was 45 years old. David leaves to cherish his memory his wife Amy (Roberts), his parents Bill and Linda Melnichuk, brother Bill Jr. and wife Sheryl, nephews Chase and Levi. He also leaves his aunts, uncles, cousins, mother and father-in-law Allen and Pat Roberts, brother-in-law Dan and family, and sister-in-law Pam. David is also missed by his four legged furry children, Deliah and Dieter, who he loved dearly. David was born in Winnipeg at the St. Boniface Hospital on July 27, 1971. He grew up in Winnipeg and Lorette. David was our Nomad. He joined the Armed Forces for a brief time, moving to Sioux Lookout to be near his parents. He then moved back to Winnipeg, where he met and married Amy. Now he had a travelling partner. Next came Calgary, Edmonton, Fort McMurray and finally settling back in Edmonton, where Dave and Amy worked together in their landscaping business, Polar Bear Landscaping. David was a great fan of the Edmonton Eskimos. Buck Pierce was one of his favourite players. He gave David and autographed hat for his dad. He never missed a game, either being there or watching on T.V. He would always call his dad during and after the games to discuss his take on the game. He came to Winnipeg for the Grey Cup (Edmonton vs Ottawa 2015). Winnipeg Blue Bombers were his second team. Again, he would call his dad several times during the game. David is in a better place now, free from trials and tribulations life kept throwing him. Rest in peace son. Till we meet again.
