Miss Storgaard was the first teacher that I had in Canada after arriving from Poland...she taught me how to read and write English....she was a very kind and patient human being. I met my husband Bill that same year in this class, he walked me home from school because I didn't know where I lived and couldn't speak English....At that time I never imagined that 30 years later Bill and I would meet again and get married...I invited Miss Storgaard and her sister Anna to our wedding and we were happy that they could attend. Just a few months ago my sister stayed at Riverview (just before her passing on Feb.20th of this year) I had the chance to go say Hello to Miss Storgaard as she was also at Riverview. She did recognize me and I once again thanked her for being such a kind and loving teacher:) I have always, thru out all these years, remembered her kindness, and gentleness......Rest In Peace Celina and Bill Thater - Posted by: Celina & Bill Thater--(Horodynski) (former students from 1964-1965) on: Jul 26, 2017
