Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHELEN ELIZABETH MAZOLLECK (nee TURNBULL) Helen peacefully passed into the presence of the Lord on Friday, July 21, 2017 at the Victoria Hospital. Predeceased by her husbands, John (1957) and Al (2007), siblings, Catherine and Jack, and great-grandson Jaxton. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Janice (Gary), Cathy (Doug), Lori (David) and Rob (Laura), and her niece Lesley (Paul). Fondly remembered by her 10 grandchildren, Alyson (Ryan), Kristen (Ben), Brett (Kristen), Barrett (Janelle), Jordan (Ashley), Evan, Aaron, Jenna (Mike), Katelyn (Shawn) and Ryker; and her nine great-grandchildren, Ethan, Logan, Kalia, Jace, Isaac, Anna, Ella, Lennon, Bennett and two arriving soon. Helen was born in Winnipeg on a searing hot day in July, 1936. She will be remembered by her smile, laugh, and competitiveness in games, immaculate housekeeping and love for camping, fishing and animals. She loved to play bingo and often ran away with the jackpot at Villa Nova. Mom lived at Villa Nova for the last eight years of her life where she loved her apartment view and so appreciated June, Armando and her friends. Over the past few years Mom demonstrated strong resolve in battling her illness. Thank you to Dr. Brian Sharkey, the palliative care team and the many nurses and aides at the Victoria Hospital who so lovingly cared for Mom. There were a special few and you will know who you are. A private family graveside service will be held. A memorial service and reception will be held Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Villa Nova, 1035 Wilkes Ave. at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Manitoba Lung Association.
